Simon Miller thought that it was the end of the world for real. He’d lost his family to coronavirus but he had somehow survived. He was sitting on his bed in the evening and was worried sick since it was announced that a new virus had spread in their city.
“Bogeyman” they called this new virus. It only attacked people when they were asleep and wouldn’t harm them as long as they didn’t lose their consciousness. This said, as soon as a person who was affected by this virus fell asleep, they would die instantaneously Simon was so frustrated in this situation. He just wanted to sleep so badly, but he was afraid of dying so bad. He had read online that humans could endure not sleeping for eleven consecutive days and not go crazy. He hadn’t slept for four days and slowly, his mind was turning into mush. He felt dizzy from all the pressure of sleep deprivation.
“If god wants people to die so badly, who am I to stand in his way. At least this will be a comfortable death. And I will join my family …. Probably.” He smiled and went to sleep.
